It's nice to see this every morning when I wake up! X3 I'm so glad you Like Québec too! ^^ And your picture is just perfect! (Did you take it on the stairs? those are long and annoying but worth-it for this wonderful photo)
I love this view so, so much!!! I am so jealous that you get to see this every day. But I am happy for you, because it's so beautiful! So, you live in Lévis? I have taken pretty much this same shot twice. The first time was in 1989, and that was from the stairs that you mentioned. This time when I got off the ferry I was looking for those same stairs, but I must have walked past them. (Yes, those stairs are long!) This time I ended up at Terrasse de Lévis. How apart are the stairs and the terrasse?
What an amazing panoramic cityscape! Dusk was the perfect time of day to shoot, dark enough for the city to light up like candles, but with the glowing embers of the setting sun lazily sinking over the horizon. A masterpiece!
A - Do you know that you write beautifully? And thank you! Good observation about the time of day. As you may know this part of dusk is what they call "the blue hour." I was frantic to get the ferry across the St. Lawrence to make it in time to take this shot. I got really lucky with the clouds, because the gaps between the clouds and rolling hills highlight the hills. Thanks again!
I love old Montreal. I worked for Les Promotions Atlantique in Longueuil for 5 years. We use to hold our national sales meetings in the Laurentians and I played in golf tournaments with the guys while the other women sunned themselves.I remember the food is SO GOOD!Nice photo .....It brings back fond memories.
I was smart enough to bring 2 cameras (one digital, one disposable), however i wasnt smart enough to bring the disposable when i went to levis. (it actually froze on the transversier) this january was the first time i went. J'aime Quebec
