Yes, life goes on in Baltimore. . . Even on North Avenue. 
This gentleman is a regular vendor at the North Avenue Market - about a mile east of where the riot took place. This photo was taken on April 29th, 2 days after the riot.

. . . also a very nice man. He was wearing a button that read: "Do For Self." I asked him what it meant to him. He said it was a message that meant "don't expect the government or others to take care of you. Take care of yourself, then others."
Next time I see him I'll ask him to get me one of those buttons.
